Brief Using the design language developed at LDA for the JBL Marine Amplifier, design and develop complimentary speakers and subwoofer for marine applications to expand the marine product line. Apply the existing design language around the engineering package for a 6.5" 8.5" speakers and 10" subwoofer with customizable lighting. Our design process consisted of four phases including research, design, and production.
Solution A refreshed marine speaker lineup with high end features with world class audio. Each speaker is UV resistant and includes a polypropylene woofer and midrange cones, Mylar tweeter domes (Except Subwoofer), one piece cast polymer baskets, sealed magnets, and rubber woofer surrounds for high SPL performance.
Contribution The project below was a group effort by the design team at LDA along with the design direction by JBL. The final product was from a culmination of ideas, phases, and refinement from a variety of people at different times throughout the process.
